About
Lara Everly is an award-winning DGA director who celebrates storytelling that brings humor to the unexpected, embraces the female gaze, and advocates for change.
Recent highlights include directing a social campaign for Walmart starring the retailer's very own boy band, directing curated footage for Filmsupply, and premiering two films she wrote and directed at Tribeca: Selah and Reconstructing Charlie. Lara adopted a dog for one of the films, calling it her most unhinged directing move yet.
In the branded sphere, Lara has directed broadcast campaigns for Thinx, Fisher-Price, Walmart, Little Tikes, ACLU, Mayday Health, Swehl, Nevada Democrats, Mothers Against Greg Abbott, Bloomlife, Schwarzkopf, Geico, Swing Left, Way to Win, Supermajority, and Work & Mother. Her work has earned Clios, Webbys, Anthem Awards, and Telly Awards while garnering millions of views online.
On the narrative side, past favorites include directing an episode of American Auto (nominated for a DGA Award), the pilot I Can By Friday starring Geena Davis, the Netflix family series Like a Mother, and the dark comedy feature Heritage Day.
She's currently developing a range of branded and long-form projects, thriving somewhere between creation and chaos.
